Paul Milburn

Paul Milburn

Always striving to "Make a Difference" where it is needed most, Paul Milburn's life was defined by charitable giving. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Mr. Milburn started out teaching and later served as administrator at several state vocational centers. However, it was the land development business where he would make his mark and acquire the financial resources to advance causes through.

A 54-year member of the Shawnee Lion's Club, civic activities were important to Paul. Above all, he considered quality education and health services as prerequisites to children's success in life. Together with his wife, Ann, he created several endowed chairs for OU's Children's Hospital, and supported a number international development organizations such as World Neighbors, Groundswell International, Water4 and Pambe Ghana. His contributions to these programs, as well as in agriculture, clean water, education and foster care will continue to impact thousands of children across the state - and beyond.

With his charitable vision, Paul created a legacy that will live on long after his death in 2016. In 2007, the Milburns transferred the assets of their private foundation to establish an advised fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Through his estate, Mr. Milburn created additional funds to support the causes he cared about most.

Inspired by Oklahoma City Community Foundation founder John Kirkpatrick and his matching grant program, Paul also created his own matching opportunities to benefit charitable causes close to his heart.
