A graduate of Classen High School and the University of Oklahoma, Dan Hogan has been an Air Force pilot, a stockbroker and a bank officer. He and Sarah were married in 1955, and in 1972, he purchased the Journal Record Publishing Co., a multifaceted media company specializing in business, legislative and legal-related information. After publishing The Journal Record for more than two decades, he sold the paper in 1995.
An active supporter of many education and library organizations, Sarah Hogan served as a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma. Dan has provided leadership to many civic organizations, including the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, where he served as Trustee from 1984-1993, as well as President of the Board. In 1979, the couple established a fund at the Community Foundation to support Oklahoma City University, Casady School and other causes important to them.
