James R. Daniel graduated from Baylor University with a degree in economics and finance. In 1964, he began his banking career at Friendly Bank in Oklahoma City where, at the age of 32, he became the youngest bank president in Oklahoma. Mr. Daniel has been a leader in the Oklahoma banking industry for more than 40 years, serving as vice chairman of BancFirst and as a member of its executive committee, corporate board and trust company.
Mr. Daniel's civic activities include serving on the board of directors for the Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools, Integris Health and the Oklahoma Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He served as a Trustee for the Oklahoma City Community Foundation from 2002-2011.
