Emanuel Synagogue

Emanuel Synagogue

Founded in Oklahoma City in 1904, Congregation Emanuel is a traditional, egalitarian congregation affiliated with The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Established by a number of donors to support the general operations of Emanuel Synagogue in Oklahoma City, the endowment fund was transferred to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation in 2003 for long-term management under the leadership of Joe L. Singer and Erwin Alpern. The Emanuel Synagogue Endowment was the first endowment established at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to benefit a faith community.
