Bill & Sally McNutt

Bill & Sally McNutt

As newlyweds, the McNutts moved to Oklahoma City in 1932 when Mr. McNutt accepted a position as manager of Fidelity & Deposit Company. A graduate of Georgetown University Law School, he would go on to practice bankruptcy and corporate law while his wife remained active volunteering at a local hospital.

Although the couple eventually moved to Texas, they continued to support nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma City. Upon their deaths, their daughter, Janet established the Bill and Sally McNutt Foundation to continue their philanthropy.

In 2005, she transferred the assets of the private foundation to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The fund continues to support charitable causes that were important to the family including health care and music education.
