Known for his generosity, enthusiasm and unwavering support of his alma mater, Dr. Gary Moore dedicated much of his life to giving back to Oklahoma City University. A 1964 graduate of the school, Dr. Moore attended the university through the "Great Plan" program, which OCU and MIT launched together in 1960 to address the national concern of educating a new generation of American scientists.
When the "Great Plan" initiative came to a close, Dr. Moore saw an opportunity to give back to the school and established the Gary M. Moore Great Plan Scholarship Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation in 2007. The fund supports scholarships for the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma City University.
Dr. Moore was also a great patron of the performing arts at OCU and attended as many performances as possible, often purchasing seats for his friends. He took great interest the careers of the performers and often contributed to students' medical needs. This love of the arts led him to establish the Gary M. Moore Dance and Arts Management Scholarship Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
